Dear Edventures community,
September was a foundational month for us — not flashy, but one of real progress. We launched our Alpha, made a key hire, and strengthened the tech and community foundations that’ll set us up for a strong finish to the year.
If you’re just getting to know us, here’s a recap
Whether it’s your first or hundredth newsletter, I’m so happy you’re reading this newsletter and that you want to follow us on our journey towards becoming the global leader in entrepreneurship support, democratising entrepreneurship education and learning for all. You’re receiving this newsletter because we’ve been in touch for the past weeks, months or maybe years, and because your interest, skills, experience and/or professional focus aligns with our mission and values.
For those who are new subscribers, or to give you a quick recap, Edventures is an edtech and future-of-work startup based out of Sweden but with a fully remote and international team, spanning across three continents. Our mission is to develop a cutting-edge conversational AI that provides personalised coaching and learning experiences tailored to each entrepreneur’s specific business idea, needs, and challenges. Our platform also supports entrepreneurship organisations, coaches, and educators who play pivotal roles in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs.
Read on to discover this month’s latest updates and milestones. If you’re in a rush, below are the highlights you need to know about from last month.
TL;DR
Launched the Edventures Alpha 3.0
Hired our new AI Engineer, Chetana
Improved AI features and onboarding experience
Opened up signups on the website (no more invite-only!)
Submitted major funding and accelerator applications
💜 Team
Throughout September, we interviewed several candidates for our AI Engineer role, and ended up finding our match in Chetana, based in Singapore but originally from Hyderabad, India.
She recently completed an internship at Singapore General Hospital, where she worked on applied AI solutions in clinical and hospital environments. Holding a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence Systems from the National University of Singapore (NUS), she joins us to lead our AI development, enhancing both our internal systems and user-facing intelligence.
We signed with her by the end of September, and she’ll be joining full-time from October 21, after wrapping up her internship by mid October, then relocating from Singapore, and celebrating Diwali. Onboarding has already started, and we’re excited to have her energy and expertise on board.
Progress in September has been slower across the board since we’ve been running at half capacity, but we’ve laid the groundwork for a stronger, more engaging push starting in October.
⚙️ Product
After two months of rebuilding, our Alpha 3.0 went live on September 10, marking a huge step forward in usability and product readiness.
We also took the time to clean up our infrastructure — transferring our DNS and domains to Cloudflare, which not only cut costs (goodbye, Namecheap) but also improved performance and security. Cloudflare’s static hosting options are next on our list to explore, replacing some of our Render.com deployments.
Feature-wise, we rolled out a few small but needed updates:
Copy chat messages
Clickable links
Quote replies in chat
We’re working on dedicated chats per business project and in-chat note-taking. Both are designed to make it easier for founders to organise their work and ideas without leaving the chat experience.
That said, we still have improvements to make, so please sign up to test out the Alpha, and share with us your feedback: hello@edventures.ai.
🌍 Community
This month we made a few key updates across our site and channels:
Website signups are now open — no more invite-only barrier.
Improved visibility of our Alpha onboarding flow.
Continued on reactivating our Discord community to create a space for first-time entrepreneurs to connect.
💰 Funding Opportunities
We’ve been actively applying to key funding and accelerator programs to expand our runway and visibility, including:
Vinnova Innovative Startups
Grupo Ageas Portugal Open Innovation Program
Onstage W25 Demo Day
Global Edtech Startup Awards (GESA) 2025
A16Z Speedrun
Berkeley SkyDeck Batch 21
We’re also preparing our Innowwide application (opened late September) for submission later this autumn.
👀 What’s in the Pipeline for Next Month?
Getting Chetana fully onboarded and up to speed
Alex relocating to India to focus on GTM and local distribution partnerships
Continued product improvements and Alpha updates
Kicking off recruitment for a Product Designer to elevate the UX and visual experience
