Edventures Launches Alpha Version of its Entrepreneurship Coaching and Learning App at Web Summit 2024

Lisbon, Portugal 11-14 November 2024 — Edventures, an edtech and future-of-work startup supported by the Eureka Association, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, and is excited to announce the launch of the Alpha version of its personalised entrepreneurship coaching and learning app at Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon. This marks a major milestone in Edventures’ mission to equip young people worldwide with personalised coaching, insights, and support to turn their ideas into thriving businesses.
Empowering Youth Through Entrepreneurship
At Edventures, We are driven by the vision of a world where no idea is inhibited. Our platform aims to tackle one of the most pressing global challenges: the alarming number of youths and young adults classified as NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training), and being in informal employment. Reports from the ILO state that more than half of young workers globally are in informal employment, and with a global youth unemployment rate at 13% and a NEET rate at 20.4%, this global challenge is bigger than its official numbers.
Entrepreneurship offers an alternative path to opportunity and economic self-sufficiency. However, access to tailored, effective entrepreneurial support remains inadequate and inaccessible to many, especially those who are traditionally marginalised, like young people and people of colour. This is highlighted by the OECD which estimates that some 34 million entrepreneurs could be added to the economy, should they only receive more support.
However, the lack of access to practical and personalised entrepreneurial support is a barrier for many. Current learning platforms are either overly academic or too generic to address the individual challenges young entrepreneurs face.
The Solution: AI-enabled, Personalised Entrepreneurship Coaching and Learning
The Edventures platform bridges these gaps by offering an immersive, tailored experience designed specifically to meet the unique needs of aspiring entrepreneurs, regardless of their starting point. Our platform supports a wide range of users—from those with just a seed of an idea to those ready to scale a growing business.
Edventures has created a dynamic, all-in-one platform that combines personalised learning, real-time coaching, and interactive gamification to transform how entrepreneurship is supported. The platform comprises three key features:
Anna: An AI-powered personal coach that offers strategic advice, operational guidance, and individual feedback across every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. Anna adapts to the user’s progress, providing insights tailored to their unique challenges and ambitions.
Eddie: An interactive learning experience that turns entrepreneurial education into a game. Through quizzes, challenges, and role-playing, users unlock new knowledge and develop essential skills to grow as entrepreneurs.
Franklin: A toolkit for coaches and mentors, giving them detailed insights into the progress of the entrepreneurs they support. Franklin enables a data-driven approach to mentoring, helping coaches offer more personalised and impactful advice.
Who Is This For?
As we roll out the Edventures app, it is primarily designed for aspiring and early-stage, first-time entrepreneurs. Although the app can be used by anyone with a business idea, our focus is on young people aged 18-35, especially those from underserved and unserved communities who are looking for entrepreneurial opportunities. In addition, the app is built for coaches, educators, and entrepreneurship support organisations who want to offer more personalised guidance to the entrepreneurs they mentor. It also provides coaches and educators with data-driven insights to enhance their support and coaching.
Edventures is designed to meet the needs of several key stakeholders by providing practical, targeted solutions. Early-stage entrepreneurs, including youth and young adults, gain access to personalised coaching and learning that equips them with the guidance and skills they need to succeed. For coaches and mentors, Edventures offers deeper insights into their entrepreneurs’ progress, allowing for more tailored, data-driven guidance. Ecosystem organisations like accelerators and incubators can extend their reach and support more entrepreneurs efficiently and at a lower cost.
We’re raising €375,000 to give us a 24-month runway of our undivided attention to tap into our current momentum, grow our customer base, and ultimately reach break-even.
