Dear Edventures community,

As we move through the first few months of 2023, we wanted to take a moment to update you on what we’ve been working on here at Edventures.

January was a productive month for us, as we continued to make progress with our spaghetti code codebase. Although we experienced some delays in launching the prototype, we have been able to make significant headway in troubleshooting and sorting out bugs. We understand that this stage of development is critical in ensuring that the final product is stable and reliable. There have been discussions about switching to Flutter, but given how close we are to finalizing the prototype, we have decided to push through with what we have.

In February, we welcomed a new team member, Ying-Chen, who has joined us as a product designer and frontend developer. Ying-Chen has been busy updating our upcoming new designs for the Alpha and later versions, ensuring that our demo videos accurately represent the new interface. Ying-Chen has also been instrumental in coding our new, self-hosted blog built-in the Hugo framework. We’ll be launching this new blog along with all the other minor tweaks to the website to ensure that we catch any sign-ups from interested users. We’re thrilled to have Ying-Chen on board, and we’re confident that her contributions will help us take Edventures to the next level.

As we round up March, this month has been primarily focused on bug fixing, both in our spaghetti codebase and in the APIs we’ve set up for the new signup process. We’re really wanted to create a better funnel and making the signup process as smooth and seamless as possible for anyone interested in Edventures, which we’ve managed to complete after some hiccups.

Despite the challenges we’ve faced, we’ve endured and pushed through, and we’re excited to announce that by the end of March, we’ll be inviting select test users from our community to test out the very first version of Anna, the world’s first personalised AI entrepreneurship coach. This is of course a major milestone for us, and we can’t wait to see how our community responds to this innovative new product that’ll shift the way we gain access to, and long-term work with, entrepreneurship support and guidance.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.

Stay young, stay foolish,

The Edventures Team
